English county cricket team Northamptonshire has agreed a two-year shirt sponsorship deal with the University of Northampton.
Under the partnership, the university’s branding will feature on the front of Northamptonshire’s County Championship kit in the 2015 and 2016 seasons.
The University of Northampton is also a principal partner of the Wantage Road club.
Deborah Mattock, director of HR and marketing at the University of Northampton, said: “This partnership will further develop our ability to offer our students unique opportunities for local work placements, volunteering opportunities and internships, not only in the field of sports management, but with the other areas involved in running a successful cricket club.”
Northamptonshire suffered relegation from County Championship Division One in 2014, a year on from achieving promotion from the second tier.
