NHL’s Devils secure health care partner

North American NHL ice hockey team the New Jersey Devils has entered into a partnership with local medical facility Barnabas Health.

Under the deal, the terms of which were not disclosed, Barnabas Health will serve as the official healthcare partner of the Devils and the team’s Prudential Center home arena.

Barnabas Health will acquire the naming rights to the team’s practice facility at the arena, with experts from the company working with Devils staff on a range of health and wellness programmes.

Barnabas Health will also become a member of the Marquee Partnership, a New Jersey-based programme run by the team and the Prudential Center to help align major brands in the state.

In addition, Barnabas Health will work with the team on a range of community nutrition and wellness programmes, as well as supporting the Devils’ youth and grassroots set-ups.

Barry Ostrowsky, president and chief executive of Barnabas Health, said: “This partnership will allow both of our organisations to leverage resources to reach the youth of New Jersey and families throughout the state.”
