NHL’s Devils going places with Uber

Transportation network company Uber has enhanced its portfolio of commercial sports deals by securing a partnership with the New Jersey Devils and the NHL ice hockey franchise’s Prudential Center home.

Uber will become the first ‘official rideshare partner’ of both the team and the arena, which hosts various other sports and entertainment events alongside Devils home games.

The company will establish a designated Uber pick-up and drop-off area near to the venue so that fans can use the firm’s services to travel to and from events at the arena.

Adam Davis, chief revenue officer for the Devils and Prudential Center, said: “With nearly two million visitors through our doors each year, we rely on our partners both inside and outside of the building to provide the same world-class experience that we strive for each night.”
