New Chicago Bears partnership to target fans

US appliance, electronics and furniture retailer hhgregg has agreed a new partnership with NFL American football franchise the Chicago Bears.

Under the deal, the terms of which were not disclosed, hhgregg will give fans the chance to win a number of prizes such as a VIP game-day experience.

Shoppers at the Chicagoland hhgregg store can enter a unique receipt code on the official Chicago Bears website to be entered into a draw to win prizes three days before each Bears home game. In addition to prizes, all winners will also receive a full rebate on their purchase at hhgregg.

All sweepstake entrants will also receive a 15 per cent discount at the Chicago Bears fan shop while staff at Chicagoland hhgregg will have the opportunity to win a VIP game-day experience of their own.

In addition, hhgregg will also be a named sponsor of the inaugural Chicago Bears street team, which will now be known as the Chicago Bears Monster Squad powered by hhgregg. The squad will interact with Bears fans and pass out premium giveaways on game-days.

Additional partnership features include joint marketing promotions, in-store appearances by Bears personalities, social media and interactive fan engagement, and integration with the team’s radio and television programming.

In addition, every Friday will be known as ‘Bears Friday’ at hhgregg Chicago locations, while Bears player Robbie Gould will host video blogs and serve as a promotional spokeperson for the company.
