New Balance set to land England cricket kit deal – reports

US sportswear brand New Balance has reportedly agreed a deal with the England & Wales Cricket Board to become the new official kit supplier for the English national team.

UK newspaper The Guardian said New Balance has agreed a five-year deal with the ECB and will replace current partner Adidas in 2017.

The deal is said to be worth more than the £1m (€1.3m/$1.5m) per year Adidas has been paying under its current cash and equipment combination agreement with the ECB.

New Balance has already established a presence in international cricket through a kit partnership with Cricket South Africa. The company also has endorsement deals in place with England national team players Joe Root, Ben Stokes (pictured) and Mark Wood.
