NCR agrees Atlanta Falcons partnership

Consumer transaction technologies firm NCR Corporation has agreed a four-year partnership, from 2013-14 to 2016-17, with NFL American football team the Atlanta Falcons.

Under the agreement, Official Falcons Gear, the retail arm of the club, with use the NCR Netkey Endless Aisle solution as part of its service offering to fans. Customers on the main level of the club’s Georgia Dome stadium can order merchandise during a game from designated NCR Express Zones and pick it up any time before the end of the match.

In addition, interns from the Georgia Institute of Technology will use NCR’s POS Counterpoint software technology and mobile applications to allow suite-holders to make purchases during the game directly from their suite, and have it delivered to them before the game ends.

The NCR Wayfinding interactive self-service solution will also be installed around the stadium to help fans find their way around Georgia Dome.

Atlanta Falcons and NCR will also work together on a number of programmes for NCR employees and the community. In spring 2014, staff from the Atlanta Falcons Physical Performance Department will work with the NCR human resources department to develop a wellness programme specifically for NCR employees.

In the community, the club will get involved with NCR’s ‘Big Give’ – a company-wide initiative that brings together the firm’s 26,000 employees around the world through various volunteering efforts.
