NBA’s Warriors take flight with United partnership

The Golden State Warriors North American NBA basketball franchise has entered into a partnership with US-based United Airlines.

Terms of the multi-year agreement were not disclosed, but it was confirmed that the deal will be in place for the 2016-17 season.

United will serve as the official airline for the Warriors and will become a founding partner of the team’s new Chase Center home arena, which is currently under construction.

As part of the deal, members of United’s ‘MileagePlus’ programme will be able to redeem their miles for access to premium seats, suite tickets and VIP experiences with the Warriors.

The partnership also includes other sales and marketing elements such as radio, social media, online and in-arena messaging inside the Warriors’ current Oracle Arena home and the new Chase Center facility.
