The NBA basketball league has entered into a multi-year agreement with Sun Life Financial to make the international insurance company a promotional partner and push its services in south-east Asia.
Sun Life will be involved in upcoming NBA events in the Philippines, Malaysia and Indonesia, starting with the NBA Cares event in Manila for children at the Manila Boys Town Complex orphanage on September 6.
The company will also enjoy an integrated presence at the inaugural NBA Global Games Philippines 2013, when Houston Rockets meet Indiana Pacers at the Mall of Asia Arena on October 10.
The game makes the NBA the first US professional sports league to stage a pre-season event in the country.
