The Nascar stock car-racing series has further bolstered its Nascar Green initiative by entering into a multi-year partnership with electrical power management specialist Eaton.
The deal makes Eaton an official Nascar Green partner and it will oversee the installation of 20 electric vehicle charging stations at Nascar offices in Daytona Beach, Charlotte and Concord. As such, it carries the designation of official EV charging solution provider of Nascar.
As part of the deal, Eaton joins the Nascar Fuel for Business Council, a business-to-business initiative which brings together more than 60 of Nascar’s official partners four times a year to buy and sell products and services from one another.
Other facets of the Nascar Green drive include a tree-planting scheme to capture 100 per cent of emissions produced by races and a long-term biofuels programme to reduce emissions across its racing series in association with partners Sunoco, American Ethanol and the National Corn Growers Association.
