MyTeam11 to support West Indies v India series

Indian fantasy sports platform MyTeam11 has signed up as the title sponsor of the upcoming cricket series between the West Indies and India.

MyTeam11 agreed the deal with Cricket West Indies, which is hosting the tour.

MyTeam11’s brand ambassador is former India national team star Virender Sehwag, and the platform claims that it is the first fantasy sports platform to secure a title sponsorship deal for a top-tier cricket series.

The MyTeam11 International Series will start on August 3 and concludes with the second Test match in Jamaica, scheduled to run from August 30 to September 3.

It will begin with two Twenty20 fixtures on successive days in Florida, before the series switches to the Caribbean for the final Twenty20 contest, three one-day internationals and two Tests.

In a separate development earlier this week, the Times of India reported that Chinese mobile phone manufacturer Oppo is set to be replaced as India’s national cricket team shirt sponsor by Byju’s, an online tutoring and educational platform, following the conclusion of the West Indies tour.
