Mondelez to back Australia’s World Cup campaign

Multinational snack food company Mondelez has reached a deal to become an official sponsor of Australia’s football team ahead of the Fifa World Cup in Brazil.

Mondelez takes on the designation of official snacking partner, with its confectionary, biscuits, candy, spreads and coffee brands activated through in-store promotions and at point-of-sale across Australia during May and June.

Football Federation Australia’s headline sponsorship slot remains vacant with the World Cup only 42 days away. Qantas opted to end its long-term deal with the governing body last June but remains its official airline.

At the World Cup, Australia has been drawn in Group B alongside Spain, the Netherlands and Chile.
