MLS extends Etihad Airways deal

North America’s Major League Soccer has signed a multi-year extension to its partnership with Abu Dhabi-based airline Etihad Airways.

Under the agreement, Etihad Airways will continue to serve as the official airline partner of MLS.

Etihad Airways will also work with the league on the MLS Flight Path campaign, which will introduce competitions for fans, VIP experiences at the All-Star Game and MLS Cup, and flights and holidays.

The two parties are celebrating the start of the 2017 MLS season by inviting fans to share their best football-related travel photos on social media with the #MLSFlightPath hashtag.

Etihad Airways first partnered with MLS in 2014. The league is part of Etihad’s global football portfolio which includes partnerships with MLS franchise New York City FC, English Premier League club Manchester City, Australian A-League team Melbourne City, Saudi Professional League outfit Al Ittihad and UAE Pro-League club Al Ain.
