MLB’s Pirates add five partners

North American Major League Baseball franchise the Pittsburgh Pirates has secured five new partnerships for the 2016 season.

Sandwich chain Jimmy John’s has signed up as a partner, as has the Penn State World Campus online service of Pennsylvania State University.

The franchise has also brokered deals with three Pittsburgh-based businesses – appliance dealer Don’s Appliances, financial services firm National Slovak Society Life Insurance Company and Kennywood Amusement Park.

All five new partners will benefit from various branding opportunities inside the team’s PNC Park home ballpark.

Last month, the Pirates also struck a deal with South Korean tyre manufacturer Nexen for the 2016 season.
