Minnesota Wild drinks to Jack Daniel’s deal

NHL ice hockey team Minnesota Wild has reached a multi-year sponsorship agreement with Tennessee bourbon manufacturer Jack Daniel’s.

Under the agreement, the financial terms of which were not disclosed, Jack Daniel’s takes on the naming rights to the bar and restaurant at Minnesota Wild’s Xcel Energy Center.

The 220-seat facility is to be known as the Jack Daniel’s Old No. 7 Club and will be open to all fans.

Additionally, Jack Daniel’s will benefit from television and in-arena advertising along with a drinks cart in the concourse area.

The Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal said the Minnesota Wild deal marks Jack Daniel’s latest move into sports facility sponsorship. It has also opened Old No. 7 lounges at Dallas’ American Airlines Center, the Honda Center in Anaheim and Rangers Ballpark in Arlington, Texas, as well as sponsoring a new patio at Chicago’s Wrigley Field ballpark.
