Electronics retailer Dick Smith has reached a deal to become a principle partner and the official consumer electronics partner of Australian cricket franchise the Melbourne Stars.
The agreement covers the next two seasons of Australia’s T20 Big Bash League.
Dick Smith will enjoy front-of-shirt branding on the Melbourne Stars playing kit as well as on official apparel worn by players and coaches on game days, during training sessions and while travelling.
This season’s Big Bash, which runs from December 20 until the February 15 final in a schedule expanded from 44 to 58 days, will be the first edition to be broadcast on free-to-air television after Channel Ten outbid Fox Sports with a package worth A$100m (€69.7m/$91.7m) over five years.
