Melbourne Rebels take on BMW partnership

Australian Super 14 rugby union team Melbourne Rebels has secured a two-year sponsorship deal with the national arm of automotive giant BMW.

Under the terms of the deal, BMW Group Australia becomes a silver sponsor of the Rebels, the 15th addition to a sponsorship rung that features energy drinks brand Powerade, beer producer Carlton & United Breweries and rugby ball and apparel supplier Gilbert.

Insurance group RaboDirect is the team’s title sponsor, while agricultural equipment manufacturer Massey Ferguson and car tyre shop Michelin Tyre Plus make up the platinum category.

Melbourne Rebels finished 12th in the 2013 Super Rugby standings.
