MediaCom to drive sponsorship for Formula E’s debut season

MediaCom has been appointed as the agency of record for Formula E Championship, as part of an effort to drive sponsorship sales ahead of the debut of the new race series operated by the FIA, motorsport's global governing body.

The media communications specialist will work with Formula E to establish brand partnerships and support its overall sponsorship strategy. Beginning in 2014, fully-electric cars will race at 10 street circuits around the world in the inaugural Formula E Championship.

MediaCom Sport will leverage interest in the inaugural event, drawing on the link between sport and sustainability to attract sponsors and partners. In addition, MediaCom Beyond Advertising will provide advice to brands, ensuring they maximise the value of their partnership through various activation and content strategies.

The debut Formula E Championship season will offer brands exposure all around the world, with London, Beijing, Los Angeles and Rio de Janeiro amongst the cities confirmed as host sites for the unique race series.
