Manchester United nets deal for Korean market

English Premier League football club Manchester United has announced a multi-year partnership with Korean food company Ottogi.

Under the deal, the terms of which were undisclosed, Ottogi becomes an official partner of United in South Korea – acquiring the rights to use the club’s crest and imagery on its products in the country.

Manchester United's group managing director Richard Arnold said: “Ottogi have an innovative approach to developing their products and we have been impressed by their commitment to breaking new ground in their industry. Manchester United has over 15 million passionate followers in South Korea and this partnership will help bring these fans closer to the club they love.”

Earlier this week, United sealed a three-and-a-half year tie-up with EuroFood to make the Thai company its official confectionary partner in Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam.
