Malaysian conglomerate DRB-HICOM Berhad has agreed to return as presenting partner of the EurAsia Cup for the second edition of the Ryder Cup-styled golf tournament.
The 2016 edition of the EurAsia Cup, which is competed for by teams representing Europe and Asia, will be held from January 15-17 at Glenmarie Golf and Country Club near Kuala Lumpur.
Following a 10-10 draw at the inaugural edition in 2014, DRB-HICOM, one of the largest conglomerates in Malaysia involved in the automotive, services and property, asset and construction sectors, will once again support the tournament organised by the European Tour and Asian Tour.
Datuk Mohamed Razeek Md Hussain, chief operating officer of services and properties at DRB-HICOM, said: “This event reinforces our nation’s stature as a top destination for sports and tourism while we will also enjoy the opportunity to promote our world-class automotive brands, properties and services through the global television platform which the EurAsia Cup presented by DRB-HICOM will enjoy.”
