Scottish Rugby has announced a partnership with drinks brand Lucozade Sport that will run until 2016.
Under the agreement, Lucozade will supply Scotland’s elite rugby union squads as the official sports drink of Scottish rugby.
Along with the national senior, sevens, women’s and age-group teams, Scotland’s two major professional clubs – Glasgow Warriors and Edinburgh Rugby – are also covered by the Lucozade deal.
Lucozade will use its research and development expertise in helping Scotland Rugby to refine its hydration strategies, aiding performance, endurance and recovery for its leading athletes.
Additionally, the sponsorship will support grassroots rugby union in Scotland by launching the “Earn the Shirt” campaign, which rewards the country’s best amateur players with tickets to watch the national team at Murrayfield.
