Exercise drink Lucozade Sport has been unveiled as an Official Partner of the England women’s national football team.
The deal was confirmed by Lucozade Sport as part of a broader multi-year extension with the Football Association that also covers the England men’s national team.
Lucozade Sport has been the Official Sports Drink and Hydration Partner of the England men’s team since 2008, but the expansion of the agreement marks the brand’s first move into women’s football.
Claire Keaveny, head of marketing at Lucozade Sport, said that the partnership would be used to support grassroots campaigns, as well as the women’s national team ahead of the 2019 Fifa Women’s World Cup in France.
As part of the deal, a number of women’s national team players will feature on specially-designed Lucozade Sport bottles and will also participate in advertising and in-store activations.
