The University of Louisville and locally-based L&N Federal Credit Union have signed a 20-year, $41m (€37.80m) stadium naming-rights deal for the university's American football stadium formerly called Cardinal Stadium after the school's mascot.

"We are proud to have the L&N name on the stadium as a visible sign of our commitment to the Louisville community and the University," L&N chief executive and president Chris Brown said. "This long-term commitment strengthens our relationship into the future."
