Lidl bags deal with UK national football associations

Supermarket chain Lidl has announced partnerships with football’s national governing bodies in England, Wales and Scotland.

The deals with the Football Association in England, the Football Association Wales and the Scottish Football Association will run for three years, from 2015-16 to 2017-18.

Lidl will serve as a grassroots partner of the three associations, providing professional coaching and about 1.5 million opportunities for children to play annually.

In addition to becoming lead skills partner of the English governing body, Lidl will become official supermarket of the England team and an official supplier to both the Welsh and Scottish national associations on selected products.
