Kilmarnock extends with shirt sponsor, signs Nike deal

Kilmarnock has extended its shirt sponsorship deal with transport, utilities and private construction business QTS Group, while the Scottish Premiership football club has also announced sportswear company Nike as its new kit supplier.

QTS Group’s branding will remain on the front of Kilmarnock’s playing jerseys during the 2016-17 Premiership campaign. It will mark the company’s fifth successive season as the club's shirt sponsor.

Nike will provide Kilmarnock’s playing kit, training wear and equipment for the 2016-17 to 2018-19 seasons after agreeing a three-year deal with the club. It replaces Italian sportswear brand Errea as the club’s kit supplier.

As part of the deal, Just Sport Group, Nike’s official licensee for Scottish football partnerships, will control retail operations at Kilmarnock’s Rugby Park home stadium. Just Sport Group will oversee the refurbishment of the official club shop and create an online store.

“By refurbishing the current store, we will create a new club store that will benefit the local area,” Michael Heslop, sales and business development director for Nike at Just Sport Group, said. “Ayrshire is a massive region for sport, so we will make sure that our stock will tailor to the local demands. We will announce the opening date soon, but we will be open for business before the month is out.”
