Italian vehicle manufacturer Iveco has agreed an extension to its partnership with the MotoGP motorcycling series.
Under the agreement, sealed with MotoGP’s commercial rights holder Dorna Sports, Iveco will remain the trucks and commercial vehicles supplier for the 2014 season, which commenced last weekend.
Iveco will provide Dorna with a total of 13 trucks and vans to transport all necessary equipment around the world to organise and broadcast the championship. Along with its vehicles, Iveco is set to benefit from a branding presence across numerous corners at MotoGP race tracks.
Additionally, Iveco will be the official supplier for Team VR46 in the Moto3 category. Created through a collaboration between pay-television broadcaster Sky Sports and MotoGP legend Valentino Rossi, VR46 will race on KTM bikes in the upcoming Moto3 World Championship.
