The International Triathlon Union has announced a partnership with Opel and Vauxhall’s Ampera brand to make the electric car its official auto supplier for the 2013 World Triathlon Series races in Hamburg, Stockholm and London.
The Hamburg event on July 20-21 is followed by the meeting in Stockholm a month later, before the series’ Grand Final in London, which runs from September 11-15.
The emission free and silent Ampera will lead out the competitors at all three events, while also acting as a shuttle service vehicle for dignitaries and VIPs in each city.
