Irn-Bru retains Scottish football presence with SPFL deal

The Scottish Professional Football League has reached an agreement with Irn-Bru to make the drinks brand its official soft drink.

The three-year deal between Irn-Bru’s parent company A.G Barr and the SPFL means the brand retains its association with Scottish football having served as the Scottish Football League's title sponsor for six years.

The SPFL was formed in June this year to govern club football in Scotland and is the result of a merger between the Scottish Premier League and the SFL.

The SPFL remains without a naming rights sponsor. Chief executive Neil Doncaster last week confirmed talks with potential partners remain on-going.
