International Premier Tennis League franchise Singapore Slammers has entered into a partnership with Indian logistics company Avvashya Group.
Under the deal, the terms of which were not disclosed, Avvashya will become the team’s official logistics partner.
The inaugural edition of the franchise-based IPTL, which began on November 28, is being staged in four host cities – Manila, Dubai, Singapore and Mumbai. Avvashya’s activity in the Asia-Pacific region includes operations and services in each of these cities through its AllCargo and ECU-LINE brands.
Shashi Kiran Shetty, executive chairman of Allcargo, said: “With India’s rise as a hub of global trade and commerce, every sport in the country also needs an international standards exposure and environment to increase our skills to world-class standards. This innovative format of tennis will lay the foundation for the next generation.”
