Ice cream brand backs Gold Coast 2018

Peters Ice Cream has agreed a deal to sponsor the 2018 edition of the Commonwealth Games multi-sport event, which takes place in Australia’s Gold Coast region.

As part of the agreement, a range of Proud & Punch frozen juice pops will be served at the Coolangatta beach volleyball venue, and in Peters freezers around Queensland during the Games.

To mark the signing of the partnership, Peters products were handed out to Games volunteers collecting their uniform from the Uniform and Accreditation Centre.

Peter Beattie (pictured) , chairman of the Games’ organising committee, said: “It is great to have Peters join the sponsor family. In terms of our overall program we’ve acquired the largest number of sponsors for any Commonwealth Games.”

The Games will take place from April 4-15.
