ICC toasts Wolf Blass deal for World Cup

The International Cricket Council has reached a sponsorship agreement with Australian winery Wolf Blass for its 2015 World Cup.

Wolf Blass will be the official wine in Australia for the tournament, which will be staged across Australia and New Zealand from February 14 until the Melbourne final on March 29. Wolf Blass will be available at all matches.

Lisa Saunders, marketing director of Wolf Blass’ parent company Treasury Wine Estates in Australia and New Zealand, said: “Wolf Blass has a fantastic history aligning to cricket and we’re looking forward to partnering with one of the biggest events on the 2015 sporting calendar. This sponsorship will focus on the award-winning range of Wolf Blass wines from Red Label, Yellow Label to Gold Label and above.”

An announcement will be made in due course regarding the official wine for the World Cup in New Zealand.
