Nascar has signed up information technology company HP as a commercial partner of the North American stock-car racing series.
As the official technology partner of Nascar, HP will focus on investing in the development of the series’ ‘Fan and Media Engagement Centre’ and will explore other areas of possible collaboration.
The centre launched in January 2013 and provides information tailored to specific audiences within Nascar, including teams, track operators and partners.
“NASCAR has proven to be an effective vehicle to drive innovation and will be a powerful platform for HP to showcase its state-of-the-art products, services and solutions,” Nascar chief marketing officer Steve Phelps said.
The length of the deal was not disclosed.
