Hertz renews Ski Classics deal ahead of new season

Car rental firm Hertz has renewed its sponsorship of the Ski Classics series of long-distance skiing events.

The new three-year agreement runs until May 2020. Hertz will retain its position as a main partner of the series, and the exclusive presenter of the yellow champion bib, which is worn by the current series leader before each race.

Hertz first partnered with Ski Classics in December 2016.

Hertz chief executive Niklas Siljeblad said: “The cooperation is both in line with the interest of our customers and our internal venture and values, having a healthy and active company. We will, during the season’s competitions, focus even more on activation in relation to the sponsorship for our customers, employees and our Hertz colleagues in other countries.”

In recent weeks, Ski Classics has renewed its title sponsorship agreement with IT services company Visma, and also extended partnerships with performance sports watch company Polar and Norwegian sports clothing manufacturer Dæhlie.

The 2017-18 Ski Classics season begins on Sunday with the Prologue event in Pontresina, Switzerland.
