Head & Shoulders extends backing of Turkish basketball

Shampoo brand Head & Shoulders has renewed its sponsorship agreement with the Turkish Basketball Federation (TBF).

Head & Shoulders will continue to support Turkey’s men’s national team during the 2018-19 season.

It will mark Head & Shoulders’ second consecutive year supporting the team and the deal has been signed ahead of next year’s Basketball World Cup.

The upcoming season will be the fourth year in a row that the brand has supported Turkish basketball properties. Head & Shoulders previously sponsored Turkey’s Basketball Super League for three years.

The new deal has been brokered by the Infront agency, the exclusive marketing partner of Procter & Gamble Turkey. Procter & Gamble owns Head & Shoulders.

TBF president Hidayet Türkoğlu said: “The Turkish government has a great support and impact on development of all sport branches in Turkey. However, the industry needs support from the private sector, and great international companies such as P&G have significant impact on the development on Turkish basketball. Their knowledge in communication meets our values for Turkish basketball, and we see great results on influencing younger generations to grow within a sports community.”
