Home appliances manufacturer Haier has agreed a sponsorship deal with the Pakistan Hockey Federation.
Haier will serve as title sponsor of Pakistan’s national team until 2020 as part of a two-year deal signed with the PHF.
Haier will support the team during international events, home series and domestic matches as part of the agreement.
Haier chief executive Javed Afridi said: “Hockey is our national sport and we are recognised throughout the world because of it. Pakistan has enormous hockey talent and we will soon climb the ranks again in our national sport.”
The deal has been signed ahead of the men’s Hockey World Cup, which takes place from November 28 to December 16 in Bhubaneswar, India.
