German handball body renews with AOK

The German Handball Federation (DHB) has renewed a partnership with health insurance provider AOK.

The agreement will run until the end of 2021. The two parties have been in partnership since 2014.

Under the exclusive partnership, AOK will continue to receive exposure at national men’s team home games.

The AOK Star Training programme, organised through a collaboration between AOK and the DHB, has featured more than 100,000 children this year.

“We are absolutely convinced of the cooperation with the German Handball Federation and have deliberately extended it in the run-up to the World Championships – regardless of the performance of the national team,” said Steve Plesker, AOK’s managing director of marketing and products.

The 2019 World Championship will take place in Germany and Denmark from January 10-27.
