GPS technology firm Garmin has announced a sponsorship deal for the forthcoming 2015 Red Bull Air Race World Championship.
Garmin will be the official action camera sponsor of the series, starting with its 2015 season opener and maiden event in Abu Dhabi on Friday.
The company has an established presence in the series as title sponsor of the Garmin Racing team.
Garmin’s VIRB Elite action cameras will be used to capture race footage from the cockpit with data overlays including speed, altitude, g-force and GPS location.
The Red Bull Air Race World Championship has a total of eight rounds, including two in the United States.
