French national tourism agency Atout France has entered into a partnership with Euro 2016 SAS, the local organising committee for the Uefa Euro 2016 national team football competition.
Under the agreement, the agency will work with organisers in France to raise awareness of the country and what it has to offer ahead of its hosting of the tournament next year.
The project will include working with French embassies around the world while Atout France and Euro 2016 SAS will collaborate on joint social media campaigns.
Euro 2016 SAS president Jacques Lambert said: “We have a triple goal – to maximise benefits in terms of tourism, commerce and the economy. We want to make this more than just a sporting event, for the benefit of France.”
Euro 2016 will take place in France from June 10 to July 10 next year.
