French Football League rolls the dice with FDJ extension

The French Football League (LFP) has extended its partnership with French gambling operator Française des Jeux.

The new four-year deal will run until June 30, 2020.

FDJ will continue to serve as the major partner of the Coupe de la Ligue knockout competition, and an official partner of the top-tier Ligue 1, second-tier Ligue 2 and the Trophée des Champions, the annual game contested by the winners of Ligue 1 and the Coupe de France knockout competition.

The expanded partnership will also incorporate FDJ’s Parions Sport brand. A digital activation programme will be launched to promote the partnership, with FDJ betting stations to be placed in and around stadia.

The LFP and FDJ will also continue to promote responsible gambling, with 10 awareness sessions aimed at clubs, delegates and referees to be held each season.

In addition, FDJ will support the LFP’s social initiatives, with a number of initiatives planned which are designed to aid the development of women’s sport.

FDJ first partnered with the LFP in 2009.
