France’s National Rugby League extends with long-term partner

Insurance company GMF has renewed its partnership with the Ligue Nationale de Rugby governing body, which operates rugby union’s Top 14 club competition in France.

GMF will continue to serve as an official partner of the Top 14 and the second-tier Pro D2 league until the end of the 2021-22 campaign after agreeing a new six-season deal with the LNR.

As part of the extended deal, GMF, which has been a partner of LNR since its inception in 1998, will develop new campaigns to target the public-service sector.

“GMF is a faithful partner of our institution, with which we are happy to continue the adventure and that will allow us to carry out new projects on the development of professional rugby,” LNR president Paul Goze said.

The 2015-16 Top 14 campaign concluded last Friday with Racing 92 defeating Toulon 29-21 in the playoff final held at the Nou Camp in Barcelona, Spain.

GMF serves as a second-tier official partner of the Top 14 alongside PMU and Land Rover, while it is on the same sponsor tier for the Pro D2 with PMU, Orange and Societe Generale.
