The FIVB, the global governing body of volleyball, has struck an agreement with logistics services provider DB Schenker and its specialist division DB SCHENKERsportsevents.
The deal will run for two years, from 2015 to 2016.
DB Schenker will serve as the FIVB’s official logistics and freight forwarding supporter, providing freight, distribution, customs and logistics services plus on-site support at major events.
DB Schenker has previously worked with a host of major sporting properties such as the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Sochi, London, Vancouver, Beijing, Torino and Athens and football’s Fifa World Cup in Brazil, South Africa and Germany.
The FIVB’s other commercial partners, sponsors and supporters are Honda, Mikasa, JinLing, Gerflor and Rosetta Stone.
