The Italian Football Federation (FIGC) has agreed a sponsorship deal with national train operator Trenitalia.
The agreement names Trenitalia’s Frecciarossa service as the official train of the federation. The length of the partnership was not disclosed.
As part of the deal, Frecciarossa will provide internal transfers for all Italian national teams. Trenitalia will also offer promotional deals to fans on match days.
The first game to be covered by the agreement will be Italy’s friendly match against Germany at Milan’s San Siro stadium next Tuesday. Fans who travel to the match from a city served by Frecciarossa will benefit from half-price train tickets.
