The International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) has extended its partnership with Russian financial services group VTB.
The new deal will cover the remainder of 2019 and extends VTB’s support of the FIG, with the two parties having first joined forces in 2009.
As part of the agreement, VTB will provide financial support for gymnastics disciplines and development funds aimed at continental unions.
A new ‘VTB prize for accuracy’ initiative will also be introduced this year and will be awarded during the Trampoline Gymnastics World Championships. The $5,000 (€4,500) prize will recognise the male and female athletes who performed the most accurate exercise in the individual trampoline competitions.
VTB serves as a top-tier partner of the FIG.
