Fiba lights up with new Chinese partnership

The International Basketball Federation (Fiba) has unveiled a partnership with Chinese LED display products manufacturer AOTO Electronics.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but AOTO is serving as a Fiba partner of the ongoing men’s Asia Championship in Changsha-Hunan, having previously backed the women’s championship, which took place in Wuhan from August 29 to September 5.

The Shenzhen-based company has acquired exclusive rights in the product category of LED and other electronic video display screens and systems for Asia’s biggest basketball competitions of 2015.

As a Fiba partner, AOTO has been given the opportunity to showcase its products by providing LED display systems and solutions for both competitions. As part of the partnership, it has also enjoyed strong brand visibility on and off the court.

Sihua Yang, vice-president of AOTO Electronics, said: “Basketball, as a global sport, is an important marketing vehicle and platform for us and we hope to establish a long-term partnership with Fiba. We also hope that our leading technology can offer great support to Fiba’s marketing programme.”
