MLB baseball franchise the Detroit Tigers has agreed a multiyear sponsorship deal with US tyre manufacturer Falken Tire.
The Crain’s Detroit Business website said the agreement represents Falken’s first sponsorship outside the motorsport market.
Falken signage will be present at the Tigers' Comerica Park home from this season. Falken representatives will be at the stadium for opening day next Monday and during nine other games this season to give away products to fans.
The Tigers said the agreement will not impact on its existing deal with Belle Tire Distributors, which is a retailer rather than manufacturer.
