Marine apparel manufacturer Zhik has entered into a partnership with the Extreme Sailing Series.
Zhik has agreed a five-year deal to serve as the series’ official clothing partner. The agreement covers the 2017 to 2021 editions of the global series.
As part of the deal, members of the series’ guest sailor programme will be kitted out in Zhik’s latest protective gear, including helmets and buoyancy aids. The team that reaches the fastest speed during racing will also be awarded the Zhik Trophy.
Zhik merchandise will be available to purchase in public race villages and online.
Zhik joins Land Rover, SAP and GAC Pindar as main sponsors of the series. The 2017 Extreme Sailing Series season begins in Muscat, Oman on March 8.
