English Premier League football club Everton has signed up Avon Tyres as an official partner.
The deal will run for the remainder of the 2015-16 season and the whole of the 2016-17 campaign.
Avon Tyres will be the official tyre partner of the club and will have a presence within the Goodison Park stadium on match days.
The deal represents the first partnership between Avon Tyres and a Premier League club. Alan McTavish, the head of commercial partnerships at Everton, said that the deal had been brokered by the club’s “newly expanded commercial team”.
Everton announced at the weekend that British-Iranian businessman Farhad Moshiri will become the largest shareholder in the club after striking a deal to acquire a 49.9-per-cent stake.
