US financial services group EverBank will serve as a national sponsor and official bank of the 2015 Alpine World Ski Championships.
EverBank’s backing of the International Ski Federation (FIS) showpiece, which takes place in the US resorts of Vail and Beaver Creek from February 2-15, comes as part of its renewed partnership with the Vail Valley Foundation non-profit organisation.
In December, EverBank began its partnership with the Vail Valley Foundation by sponsoring the Birds of Prey World Cup races in Beaver Creek, Colorado.
This year is the third time Vail Valley has hosted the Alpine World Ski Championships following the 1989 and 1999 events.
Blake Wilson, EverBank’s president and chief operating officer, said: “The 2014 Birds of Prey World Cup was a remarkable event, and our overarching partnership provides EverBank with a great opportunity to work with the Vail Valley Foundation to sponsor a wide range of arts, athletic and educational programs and allow us to introduce our company to a wider audience.”
