Euroleague teams up with DraftKings

Euroleague Basketball, which organises continental club competitions in Europe, has become the latest partner of daily fantasy sports operator DraftKings.

The deal names DraftKings as the official fantasy partner of the EuroLeague top-tier competition. The length of the agreement was not disclosed, but it will commence with the 2017-18 season.

DraftKings will help reshape the EuroLeague Fantasy Challenge contest and offer fans a range of new games focusing on the EuroLeague and the second-tier EuroCup.

Euroleague said that more than one million teams have taken part in the EuroLeague Fantasy Challenge since it was launched in 2004.

DraftKings has provided DFS products for a range of leading sports properties in the past, including Major League Baseball, the NHL ice hockey league and the Nascar stock car-racing series.
