Euroleague boosts sponsorship income with renewals

Euroleague Basketball has announced that its sponsorship income will increase by an additional 15 per cent in the 2015-16 season after three sponsors opted to extend deals with European club competition.

Turkish beer brand EFES Pilsener has signed a two year-extension that will run from the 2015-16 season through to the end of the 2016-17 campaign.

Under the agreement, the firm’s EFES brand will continue to serve as the official beer partner of the Euroleague. The extension will also confirm EFES Pilsener as the longest-serving marketing partner of the Euroleague, with the firm having begun its support of the competition in 2008.

Meanwhile, VTB Arena park, a new multifunctional sports and entertainment complex currently under construction in the Russian capital of Moscow, has extended its partnership with the Euroleague for the 2015-16 season.

VTB Arena Park will continue to benefit from various marketing rights such as presence on all Euroleague communication and branding platforms, activation opportunities around games, as well as the commitment to organise a future edition of the league’s Final Four end-of-season showpiece event.

In addition, travel and events agency Detur has extended its partnership with the competition for the 2015-16 campaign.

The company will continue to provide fans with access to travel, accommodation and in-arena hospitality at games throughout the season.
