Organisers of the EurAsia Cup have announced a new club sponsorship programme to raise awareness around the inaugural edition of the matchplay golf tournament.
The initiative will target active golfers in Malaysia and Singapore at a host of leading clubs through monthly medal competitions, where all participants will be able to buy EurAsia Cup tickets at a discounted rate and winners will receive complimentary tickets to the event at Glenmarie Golf and Country Club on March 27-29.
More than 30,000 golfers are being targeted by the scheme, which will also supply a range of complimentary tournament merchandise. The European Tour appointed the Fast Track agency to develop and execute the marketing communications programme for the EurAsia Cup last October.
Ryder Cup star Miguel Angel Jimenez leads the European team as playing captain, while Thongchai Jaidee will fulfil the role for Asia at the biennial tournament, which is joint-sanctioned by the European and Asian Tours.
